Why the Tree?

I'm a forward thinking guy-- always looking into the newest developments. But yet I have a strong appreciation for the past. I find that trees symbolize this connection of a future built on the past. Trees have grown out of our ancient world with it's roots in the old ground. Although most trees aren't too old, trees have been around our world for a very long time providing our world with the oxygen we breathe, the wood that kept the early humans warm, boats to bring people across streches of water, nutrients to the soil from the fallen leaves, and so on. This particular tree is one on top of Hua Mountain near Xi'an, China.
